Community guidelines
Sympol is for meeting people genuinely. These rules keep it safe and pleasant for everyone in Bangladesh who uses it. Breaking them can lead to a warning, a suspension or a permanent ban.
Be real
- Use your own photos and true details. No impersonation, catfishing or fake profiles.
- You must be 18 or older. Accounts that appear to belong to minors are removed.
- One account per person. Don’t create new accounts to get around blocks or bans.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination of any kind.
- No unsolicited sexual messages. Consent matters in conversation too.
- “No” and silence are answers. If someone leaves, declines or blocks you, move on.
- Respect people’s religion, culture and family — debate ideas, never attack people.
Keep it safe
- Never ask for money, bKash/Nagad transfers, gifts or financial details.
- No spam, advertising, promotions or links to scams.
- Don’t share anyone else’s private information, photos or chats without permission.
- In Blind Date, don’t pressure the other person to reveal or share contact details.
Meeting in person
- Take your time. Chat on Sympol until you feel comfortable.
- Meet in a busy public place, tell a friend or family member where you’ll be, and arrange your own transport.
- If something feels wrong, leave. Your safety comes first.
Reporting
Use Report on any profile or chat — including Blind Date, where aliases are still linked to real accounts. Reports are private and reviewed by Sympol moderators. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services by calling 999.
